Attractions - Walking
Hiking or walking in the Languedoc is an exceptional experience. There is no shortage of both short distance and long distance walks criss crossing the region. Literally thousands of short distance walks between 1 and 3 hours in length have been marked out for the recreational walker.
There a number of official long distance walks for serious ramblers or hikers including the Stevenson Way (252 kilometres),the Via Domitia stretching from the Gard all the way through to Spain, and of course the historical Regordane Way. Walks can be comfortably undertaken from April through to October. For something different, try a Balade Vigneron, or wine walk through some delightful wine villages.
